A normal application and selection process at FINMA consists of three stages: pre-selection and two interviews. Depending on the nature of the position to be filled there may be other elements such as more interviews, function-specific case studies or an assessment centre.
At the pre-selection stage, we examine all the applications received. The length of this period may vary, depending on the number of applications. We will inform you regularly about the status of your application. If we would like to take your application further, we will contact you to arrange a first interview.
After each stage of the selection process, we will discuss the next steps with you. You can of course check the status of your application with us at any time.
FINMA carries out so-called integrity testing before every new appointment. An external partner checks the following elements for FINMA:
Candidates must consent in writing to this check being carried out. They may, however, ask to see the results of the test. Permanent appointment is conditional upon a positive test result.
FINMA offers internships for Master's graduates. These are advertised. An internship normally lasts 9-12 months. During this time you have the opportunity to expand your skills and deepen what you learned in your studies by dealing with specific practical issues. For more information, please go to «Internships»
We welcome your interest in working at FINMA. As the requirements, knowledge and experience needed are specific for each job, we cannot accept unsolicited applications. Please apply only for the vacancies advertised.
