Selected FINMA rulings
To increase the transparency of its enforcement activities and show the market what practices are unacceptable, FINMA publishes selected rulings. Besides a brief summary of the relevant enforcement case, excerpts from the grounds for the decision are also reproduced. Changes to the original text are indicated.
Until 2017 FINMA published selected rulings and decisions made by the Swiss Federal Court and the Swiss Federal Administrative Court that shape FINMA practice in bulletins. These FINMA bulletins are also archived on this page.
In addition, since 2014 FINMA has published anonymised summaries of its enforcement actions from the past year. These can be found in a database of case reports. Furthermore, FINMA publishes a database of the court decisions that concern its enforcement rulings, as well as figures and statistics on enforcement.
