Chart of accounts-based survey
The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA uses the survey and application platform (EHP) to collect supervisory data from insurance companies in a chart of accounts-based survey.
In the chart of accounts-based survey, FINMA enters supervisory data from insurance companies. The completion of the survey and submission of the data via the EHP ensures a uniform data structure and the necessary transparency.
The authorisation coordinator (AC) at the institution is informed in an email by FINMA about new surveys. The AC is then responsible for conducting the survey.
In the EHP, the data can be:
- entered manually, directly in the chart of accounts;
- entered in XLSX format (Microsoft® Excel) and uploaded to the EHP;
- entered via an XML data interface and uploaded to the EHP.
