FINMA (formerly Federal Office of Private Insurance FOPI) publishes annual reports on the activities of the insurance companies under its supervision. The report for financial year 2008 is now available, containing a complete summary of all accounts for insurance and re-insurance companies and insurance groups supervised by FINMA.
The report "Die privaten Versicherungsunternehmen in der Schweiz im Jahr 2008" (Private insurance companies in Switzerland in 2008 - in German or French) includes general information about the holdings of supervised insurance companies and details on the authorisation status of specific companies.
Electronic tables are provided for users to run queries on annual financial reports of individual supervised institutions and information on tied assets, as well as special searches categorised by non-life, life and reinsurance. Queries can be partially customised.
