Monica Mächler, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of FINMA, has been elected Chair of the Technical Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS). The Technical Committee is the central standard-setting body for the IAIS.
FINMA would like to congratulate Dr Mächler on her election to this position of great responsibility. This is the first time that a representative of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority has been made head of a key committee at an international standard setter. Her election is a recognition of the professionalism of Dr Mächler and FINMA in insurance supervision in a national and international context.
