Rainer Borer, 47, is to become FINMA's communication officer starting on 1 September 2011. In this role he will have functional responsibility for FINMA's internal and external communications. One of the key aspects of his work will be strategic communications. The main point of contact for the media will still remain with FINMA's media spokesperson, Tobias Lux.
Rainer Borer has been with Swiss Radio DRS since 1988, and has headed the business editorial team since 2003. He is a historian and holds an Executive MBA in Business Engineering from the University of St. Gallen.
