The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA can appoint specialised third parties (mandataries) to assist it with the performance of its duties. They are assigned supervisory and enforcement mandates and are instructed by FINMA to assume various tasks and to clarify specific circumstances. The list of mandataries has been published.
FINMA maintains a list of suitable mandataries to whom it can quickly assign specific mandates. Candidates who meet the requirement profile are entered in the list. Depending on their knowledge and experience, mandataries may qualify for different types of mandates. They must also have an adequate infrastructure. FINMA assigns four types of mandate. Applicants are requested to follow the application procedure and to consult the different requirement profiles. Applications can be submitted at any time.
Candidates who have not completed a test mandate to qualify for entry in the list are not included.
