The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA is warning that an increasing number of phishing emails are currently being sent with the subject “Notice of refund”. The “notice of refund from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA” mentioned therein, sometimes also referred to as “approval”, does not exist. FINMA does not send any such emails.
Recipients are asked to always check the sender addresses of the emails they receive carefully. FINMA recommends neither replying to such suspicious e-mails nor following any instructions contained therein.
