Markus Jaggi is to become the new Head of Communications at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA from 1 May 2024. Vinzenz Mathys will remain Interim Head of Communications until then.
FINMA has appointed Markus Jaggi as Head of Communications effective 1 May 2024. He will report directly to FINMA’s CEO. He will succeed Tobias Lux, who held the role until the end of October 2023, and Vinzenz Mathys, who is currently leading this department on an interim basis.
Markus Jaggi (55) was Head of Communications at Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG between 2021 and 2024. In this role he was responsible for the external and internal communications of the business entities of the large bank operating in Switzerland. From 2015 to 2021, the doctor of economics held various management positions in communications at Novartis AG, most recently with responsibility for external communications in Switzerland, Asia and EMEA. Prior to that, between 2008 and 2015, he was head of internal and later all external communications at the Holcim Group in Zurich. Markus Jaggi began his career as a Senior Economist at UBS AG in Zurich, where he soon moved into communications and took on various management roles.
