After 2005 the Federal Office of Private Insurance performs another SST fieldtest. It is compulsory for

- for life insurance undertakings with gross premiums exceeding 1 bn CHF in 2005 and
- for non life insurance undertakings with gross premiums exceeding 500 mn CHF in 2005 .

Whereas Swiss business has to be covered completely by the risk calculations, it is sufficient to consider foreign business in branches merely in an approximative way.

It is recommended for other insurance undertakins to participate voluntarily in the fieldtest.
