The publication of standardised information seeks to improve market transparency. This is intended to increase market discipline and, as a result, improve policyholder protection.
Insurance companies must publish the annual financial condition report and submit it to FINMA by 30 April at the latest. As specified by FINMA, the report contains a text component with information on the insurance company's or group's financial and risk situation and quantitative information on the group/conglomerate performance, market-consistent balance sheet and solvency.
